Summer in the LA Region is always full of energy—live music, local art, outdoor adventures, and unforgettable community moments. It’s the season we all look forward to, when the river sparkles a little brighter and downtown comes alive with celebration.
This year, you may notice a change in the lineup: the LA Metro Chamber will not be hosting Riverfest in 2025. But don’t worry—this is not goodbye forever. It’s just a pause as we make room for exciting progress.
The City of Lewiston has planned maintenance and updates for Simard-Payne Memorial Park, the scenic heart of many festivals and community events. These enhancements are designed to make the park even more welcoming, functional, and beautiful for years to come—and we can’t wait to see what’s possible once the work is complete.
The River is Still Calling
While Riverfest is taking a hiatus, there are still so many ways to enjoy the waterfront. The dock is open, and the Androscoggin River is ready for your paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes. Whether you’re out for a peaceful solo float or a family day on the water, this stretch of the river offers some of the best views in the region.
Explore our Twin Downtowns
When you’re back on land, make time to explore both sides of the river. Downtown Lewiston offers a growing food scene, vibrant arts and culture, and unique local shops—whether you’re catching a gallery night or browsing the Farmers’ Market. Just across the bridge, downtown Auburn is buzzing with summer charm. Grab an iced coffee, stroll the scenic Riverwalk, or take in a free concert in Festival Plaza. With walkable streets, welcoming businesses, and plenty of places to pause and enjoy the view, our twin downtowns are the perfect way to round out a summer day by the water.
See You in the Seasons Ahead
We’re excited about the possibilities this pause creates. With improvements to Simard-Payne Park on the horizon, we’re dreaming big about the future of festivals, events, and community celebrations in the LA Region. Stay tuned—and in the meantime, get out and enjoy everything our summer season has to offer.
